Introduction
The front swing spiral welded pipe mill is to open and level the steel coil through the mill equipment, and then feed it into the forming machine at some angles. By using the principle of three-roller winding machine and some angles, a continuous round pipe is formed, and the continuous spiral weld is welded by submerged arc welding machine. When the steel coil is coiled, uncoiled, levelled and subject to shearing butt welding, the main machine should stop for waiting, and after the butt welding of the steel coil is completed, the main machine should start for production. The front swing spiral welded pipe mill adopts intermittent production mode, which has the advantages of less investment and simple operation.
According to the different applications of products, the front swing spiral welded pipe mill is divided into API standard model and national standard model. API standard model is used to produce oil and natural gas (long-distance) transmission pipes, which have very high requirements on steel pipe materials and quality, and also have very high requirements on mill equipment and inspection equipment. The national standard models are used for short-distance natural gas transportation, water pipes, urban pipe network construction, structural pipes and pillar-beating pipes. The material and quality requirements of steel are also high, which is second only to API standard.
